Under 17 Driving school is a Leicester based company dedicated to road safety. As approved Driving Instructors, we know the best way to educate our children about road safety is to get them behind the wheel of a car, giving them a driver’s perspective of the roads today.

In Great Britain over the last few years there has been on average each year 230,935 accidents reported resulting in personal injury, of these 21996 involved children. These figures are too high and we aim to help reduce them. By giving our young drivers a chance to start early start on the path to becoming a safe, considerate and observant driver we feel that the accident figures will start to fall. The benefits of this are obvious; each young driver will have gained valuable driving experience, under constant supervision and in a safe environment.

Our events are practical driving experiences and are carried out by Driving Standards Agency (DSA) Approved Instructors. In our tailored 3 Stage Course, our young drivers are given the opportunity to learn to drive in a safe and controlled environment. Courses are available to children from the ages of 13 to 16 (subject to height).

By taking part in all 3 stages of our intensive driving course, our young drivers gain a greater understanding of the limitations of a driver and as a result will have greater respect for the busy modern roads.

Our young drivers will also have a head start for learning to drive on the roads when they choose to complete on road driving lessons. The techniques and information delivered in each stage of our course are based on the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) program and therefore all skills are transferable to a real world, road environment.

By taking part, each young driver has an opportunity to gained valuable car control skills and driving experience, which can be beneficial when learning to drive and taking part in lessons on the road.

Further progression is possible with either ourselves and our carefully select partners, additional stages include: Skid pad training, Rally school, Track school
